The English as a Second Language (ESL) program provides a rich learning environment that is student centered, developmentally appropriate and content area integrated. It includes the following:
- Facilitates the student's achievement of English proficiency through the communication skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing.
- Effective and meaningful participation in regular education and progress toward achievement of academic standards.
- Acculturation process in a complex society that is multicultural by exposing students to customs, traditions and expectations of their new environment.
