Celebrate the Earth Grocery Bag Project

In science class, Lathrop Street 5th Graders participated in an activity titled, “Who Polluted the Susquehanna?” They started with a container of clear water in the middle of the room representing a clean river hundreds of years ago.  Throughout the activity students saw how easily the river was polluted.  This opened up a great discussion on the importance of educating others about keeping our waterways healthy and clean.

A local nonprofit, 100% volunteer organization dedicated to children having enough food to eat in the summer months. Groceries will be provided to families enrolled in this program.

We are asking anyone that wishes to sign their children up, to do so as soon as possible.
